Acts: Mandate for Missions

In this course students will explore the work of the Holy Spirit within the Early Church as well as Paul's missionary journey. The goal is to reflect on the teachings of Acts to develop a mission model/plan of what the Early Church would look like and act like in today's times.

Epistles of John

This course will provide an overview of the Johannine Literature Letters (1, 2, and 3 John), which contain the OUTFLOWING and OUTWORKING of Christ's sacrificial love for mankind. Here-in, the author EXPRESSES the heart of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We will also EXAMINE and REVEAL the EMOTIONS of a pastor's heart and a believer's heart that are centered in the SACRIFICAL LOVE of God.

In-Person at Love Gospel Assembly

Homiletics

This course will equip students to explore the preacher's calling and character, biblical exposition, Christ-centered proclamation, and effective communication. It will include interactive exercises, sermon development, peer feedback, and preaching practicums. Students will learn to move from the biblical text to a clear, grace-filled message that connects with today's hearers. The course will conclude with each student delivering a 15- to 20-minute sermon.

Urban Concern Series

The Outworkings of the Vision of the Local Church. Biblically, local houses of worship are mandated to attend to the needs of the residents within their communities — not only spiritually, but in every area of life. We the people of God are called to live with a "synagogue mentality," recognizing that the house of worship is not merely a place where we gather, but a place from which we serve, support, strengthen, and care for the entire community.
